Sound insulation

Every company today should think about the right sound insulation. It is necessary to comply with high requirements in the workplace regulations.

A distinction is made between two types of sound insulation: airborne sound insulation and structure-borne sound insulation. In airborne sound insulation, we prevent or reduce the propagation of sound energy from the source to the listener through separating components. Acoustic measures support the reduction of noise when it is generated.

In structure-borne sound insulation, we prevent or reduce the propagation of noise through absorption surfaces between the components.

The sound level is measured in dB(A) (weighted sound level). Sound pressure is perceived from a hearing threshold at 10 dB (A) and perceived as pain from a threshold of 100 dB (B).

The frequency (wavelength) is an important additional quantity and is measured in hertz. The sound vibrations audible by humans are in the frequency range from 20 to 20,000 hertz. At the same sound level, the range between 2000 and 5000 Hz is most sensitive to human hearing.

We and our environment are constantly exposed to different sources of noise. Whether it’s road traffic, normal ambient noise, colleagues on the phone in the open-plan office or the machine we work on every day. All these constant sources of noise affect our performance and also our well-being. Productivity suffers from increased stress. The increased burden can lead to occupational diseases such as hearing loss and mental illness.

The use of sound insulation is therefore more important than you might think. Today we have the opportunity to improve the working environment with our sound insulation and can thus comply with the limit values for maximum noise pollution.

Even during the construction of buildings and production facilities, noise sources should be taken into account.

Our competent team will also find the optimal solution for your requirements. This applies to industry and power plants in terms of room acoustics, sound insulation enclosures, silencers, soundscapes and sound insulation walls, etc.

Of course, we are state-of-the-art and can offer our customers the most modern solutions.

The difference will be audible to all.
